Attorney Troy Skinner manages Olan Law’s litigation department, working with David Olan to prepare cases as if every one of them is going to court. Though most lawsuits do not actually go to trial, each is prepared as if it were.
Troy wants Big Insurance and Big Business to know that Olan Law is ready to do whatever it legally takes to get their clients fair and deserving compensation for their injuries and damages.
Growing up in the hard streets of the South Bronx in New York instilled in Troy Skinner a mental toughness, tenacity, and will power that is coupled with compassion and a desire to help those with the deck stacked against them.
Like David Olan, lawyering was a family tradition. Though in Troy’s case neither of his parents were lawyers, he was surrounded by uncles, aunts and cousins who were. Like many young people, Troy rebelled against his fate. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in finance, he spent years in the mortgage business and in the hospitality industry in the Carolinas and Arizona.
While managing a restaurant in Scottsdale, Troy finally faced the inevitable, he was going to go to law school to become a lawyer. He applied to numerous west coast law schools and was accepted at USC. While studying law, Troy worked his way through school as a restaurant server.
Troy Skinner feels that representing injured people – whether those damaged due to personal injuries, employment issues, or insurance bad faith – is his calling. He finds plaintiff work – in which he advocates for people – to be the most important work he has ever done. . .and, he says, it’s fun.
